Carter Lane stone.jpg

Conversion project in Carter Lane in the The City of London  to turn an old office building into a a volumnous single residence. We did 4 areas of work, one of which was this bathroom with bespoke limestone slabs and a Fired Earth ' shell' surface' tile.

The stone was of some weight so was anchored as well as adhesive fixed to the wall.

World class view from the top of the house !

I formed this walk-in shower space, with channel drain set in and then screeded precisely to suit the doors on level line and then the fall to drain.

Tiled in a Minoli porcelain mosaic tile.

This was the guest bathroom in the underground levels - among the graveyard of a medieval abbey!

Note as of 2024 - revisited and pictured 7 years on from the work - all in perfect condition, and owner very happy

In progess shot...

The 'tilt' point for the drainage was on the door line and returned at a precise point in line with where the fold-away shower doors would be.
