Words from my clients:

In the new age of reviews my site is perhaps lighter than some. For most of my time tiling I haven't asked for 'references'  or 'reviews'  and hopefully the overall body of work does the talking, but I am adding in a few words from clients over time - scans from my portfolio of letters unprompted, and quotes from more recent clients.

Encaustic / cement type inlaid tiles. Spring 2018

Client testimonial:

Colin laid encaustic tiles in our front yard. Throughout the job he was exceedingly professional and thorough. He spent a long time working out exactly what was best for our yard in terms of water drainage, therefore ensuring that the tiles have a long life. Colin kept us updated throughout about his decisions and why he had taken them. The end result is beautiful and we are very happy with the work Colin did. We would recommend him to anyone.”

"I also want to endorse the work of Colin Barber (another one of your recommendations). He is a superb tiler and lovely man to boot! We thoroughly enjoyed having him tile our kitchen..."

Clients Richard and Annelise Hansen were kind enough to write to Midas Tiles, who supplied the tiles

Dear Colin,

As you know, there is an old saying "you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear"!  Well, I know you can..and you did !

My forty year old terrcotta tiles were cracking from age and wear and tear, and were in a sad state of disrepair. You came, you saw and you conquered!

Creating a cleaver drainage system, you took wen out old terrace and gave it new beauty and new life. Thank heavens we found you through the recommendations of several different tiles shops we visited, when seeking a solution to our terrace problems.

Thanks you for giving me back so much and for your helpful "input" before, AND during our duration of contract.

Yours sincerely  Deirdre K Clark

TO whom it may concern:

                       RE:    Colin Barber

I was asked by a friend to help arrange for a tiler to inspect her garden tiles covering a large expanse of her garden in Mulberry Walk, Chelsea.

The existing tiles had lifted, the drainage was inefficient.....

Colin Barber was recommended to me by two tiling companies I visited. He responded immediately to my enquiry and carried out a detailed inspection which resulted in an in-depth analysis of the problem - he proposed a number of solutions. Mrs Clark took one of those solutions, and once the price was agreed the work commenced and the result is a triumph.

Colin is a professional who is committed to excellence and is sensitive to the wishes of his client. He works efficiently and steadily and completed the project within the time stipulated.

I would highly recommend Colin Barber to anyone interested in undertaking tiling work ...
